Background

A Family Run Company With Ambition

NEMS is a proudly family‑owned company, built on strong values of trust, integrity, and community. Our family roots shape the way we operate: we prioritise personal service, genuine care, and long‑term relationships with the clients and communities we support. Being family‑run means every event we cover matters to us — not just professionally, but personally. This commitment drives us to deliver dependable, compassionate, and high‑quality medical care at every event we attend.

Phil - Company Director

My name is Phil and I’m the founder of Norfolk Event Medical Services.

For the past 13 years, I have worked on the frontline within the Ambulance Service, responding to 999 emergency calls and helping people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Before this, I spent several years working in social care, supporting vulnerable people within the community. Earlier in my career, I worked as a bricklayer for eight years a role that taught me the value of hard work, dedication, and reliability.

I am now 40 years old, a proud husband, and father to two daughters aged 10 and 13. Family is incredibly important to me and plays a huge part in the values I bring to both my professional and personal life.

Alongside continuing my full-time role within the East Of England Ambulance Service, I have also successfully run Norfolk Event Medical Services for the past 13 years. I am passionate about helping people, which is why I continue to dedicate my time to both frontline emergency care and providing professional medical cover for events and organisations.

My aim has always been simple to deliver a professional, reliable, and compassionate service that people can trust.

Clare - Director

Clare is a dedicated and compassionate professional with over 16 years of experience supporting people through both healthcare and event medical services. A proud mother to two daughters, aged 13 and 10, Clare is deeply family-orientated and brings the same care, organisation, and commitment to her professional life as she does to her family.

For the past 10 years, Clare has worked within the NHS at Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn NHS Foundation Trust in an administrative role, where she has been responsible for planning and organising patient operations. Her attention to detail, calm approach, and ability to coordinate complex schedules have made her a valued part of the hospital team.

Alongside her NHS career, Clare has also been an integral part of Norfolk Event Medical Services for the past six years. In this role, she provides essential support across staffing, finance, event organisation, planning, and the delivery of professional event medical cover. Her strong organisational skills and caring nature help ensure every event runs smoothly and safely.

Clare is passionate about helping others and thrives in environments where teamwork, reliability, and compassion are at the heart of what she does. Whether supporting patients, coordinating events, or caring for her family, Clare approaches every responsibility with professionalism, warmth, and dedication.
